I thought this would be a great way to start off this new group board with a wonderful place where we can really type out our introductions and have plenty of space to do so. Since I put some time in with pulling this together I figure I would take the time and put up my introduction as I have not done one for quite some time.
My name is Sue and I still reside in Iowa and still married to the same person. Now that those few little things are said there has been changes with my back that have taken place with my back since the last time I wrote this out. A little back story on me... was in a car accident that messed me up pretty bad as of 1998; caused severe nerve damage in my lower back from mid-point to tail bone. It was determined at the time I had stenosis in L4 and L5 and DDD in L5 and S1.
I went through matters with a chiropractor to get my spine back to where it need be before going into physical therapy for months. Because physical therapy was so bad I stopped literally for a year. Went back after a year and things proceeded to improve again however it was short lived as problems began to come about. I started to have issues come about to where I couldn't walk as every step I took my legs would burn fire from my feet up to my hips; a lot of the time it was on one side but it eventually started to take place on the other.
Ended up going to have a nerve burn last year which kind of worked for awhile anyway. What we found to kick matters the rest of the way was a Sac injection that took place in the L5-S1. It was way intense as the same day it took place in the OR I had four other type injections done on the other leg. It took a few days for the injection to fully work but once it started I was able to begin moving around and could actually function again with physical therapy. I was quite amazed at how well things have gone with the chosen items used.
At this point I'm back at physical therapy using the heated pool one week then working on land the next. It's a slow progress but it does seem that things are getting there.
